I am very excited to announce the first selection for the Kitchen Apron Book Club -- Tales from the Thousand and One Night by Anonymous. These stories date back to 800 AD. They are told by Shahrazad who is to be executed by King Shahriyar. In order to buy time, she agrees to tell the King a story every night for 1001 nights. Included are the familiar folk tales 'Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp' and 'Sindbad the Sailor.' There are a ton of versions available. Mine is translated by N.J. Dawood.
